In 2007-2008 the Choice Transportation Committee reviewed district practices and concluded that in order to be equitable transportation should not be limited to certain option programs. With the interest of equity and facing rising transportation costs the district decided to discontinue choice bussing for 2009-2010. When presenting this decision to parents, the district asked if parents may be interested in a fee based system. Based on these interests, the proposed plan has developed.
